Very World Cup Fashion Face-Off

One question I have:
You can’t be interested in fashion and also football? Definitely yes, I’ll be cheering on our boys this Monday in the match Portugal v North Korea but that doesn’t mean that I can’t look good doing it!

I’m not the only one who has this mindset and the lovely folks over at Very.co.uk have had the good idea of mixing the footballing world cup with the fashion style of each country.

Everton-Birmingham Match

For the fifth time Birmingham has won in the Premier League, facing with Everton and having a great result:1-1 at Goodison Park.

Diniyar Bilyaletdinov is known to have put the Merseysiders, hovering above the relegation zone, with 5 minute before Sebastian Larsson has equalised with the 1st shot of Birmingham’s team.

Everton is the team which won only once in its last eleven league matches, and it has no victory at home. This is since beating the Blackburn team with 3-0.

However, the man of David Moyes wanted that sequence to come to an end when they succeed with that goal. The Everton’s team was happy to score, but not until his effort was ruled out for offside. Saha, the person who thought he scored felt unlucky in that moment.

On the other side, Larsson decided to exchange passes with Christian Benitez not until he shot past Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard. Then, Everton decided to continue after half-time while Birmingham held firm so that they have extended their unbeaten run to 8 matches.

According to the latest news, Sir Alex Ferguson is supposed to have revealed the thing that Manchester Utd is ready to offer its veteran duo Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes a contract extension of 12 months.

Their entire career, they have played at Old Trafford and now they want to sign new deals in order to underline their loyalty for The Red Devils.

Ryan Giggs is known to be the reigning PFA Player of the Year such as the latest Premier League player known to have scored around 100 goals.

In this time, Paul Scholes didn’t give up and he has built a legacy at Manchester Utd, still having quality in his game in despite of his age of over 35 years.

Ferguson claimed that “Ryan will be offered a new contract for next season, which is an indication of what we think of him coming up to 37 next season, and Paul knows he will be offered one as well”. He also added that Ryan Giggs is a great example for young people today. Related to Paul Scholes Ferguson said that “I spoke to Paul and he said he didn’t actually say he was thinking of his future”.

Eventually, all was said so that the only thing they wanted was quality and performance.

ESPN To Make A New Deal

ESPN has finally decided to sign a deal of 4 years which is worth around 35 million pounds. This deal is going to start only in the 2010/11 season meanwhile running in parallel with the agreement of FA. This agreement is related to the terrestrial broadcaster ITV which will also cover the international matches Of England and those of FA Cup.

ITV, as well as ESPN will have the chance to show the final of FA Cup live.

For those who don’t know, the FA Cup is the oldest knockout football competition for seniors and in the same time being in common with the English Premier League. This thing attracts lots of people around the Globe.

In the middle of the last year, ESPN was awarded with the rights to 46 live English Premier League games. This happened after being forfeited by Setanta.

Last week, the chief executive of FA, Ian Watmore said that they are very thrilled to have added ESPN to their list of broadcast partners.

Being a very powerful global broadcaster in United Kingdom, ESPN will give their football a great visibility and they are expecting to have a great partnership with them.

Arsenal In Trouble With FA

Arsenal in trouble with Football Association after an object was thrown on to the pitch during Sunday’s Premier League clash with Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium.

The people think that the objectis a camera and the reason that caused the game to be stopped after it had appeared to be thrown towards Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard.

Andre Marriner was the referee and mentioned the incident in his match report and the FA.

However, it is a good think that the object did not strike any player or official, and the likelihood of severe sanctions against the club are minimal.

Chelsea win with a 3-0 victory in the derby thanks to a brace by Didier Drogba and a Thomas Vermaelen own goal.

Wenger And Guardiola Late Bid

Carlo Ancelotti said that his top priority at Chelsea is winning the Champions League.

The coach also said that the captain John Terry will stay with the team.

Carlo Ancelotti also said that the club had signed Yuri Zhirkov from CSKA Moscow.

He said: “Zhirkov is naturally on the left, I think he can do all the work and can play in defence and in between.”, and about John Terry he said: “John Terry is a symbol of this team, he will be captain next season. He said he wants to stay forever and we want to keep him for ever. Now there is a question of Manchester City, but for Terry there is no price. Terry will be at Chelsea forever.”

Carlos Tevez does not think the Manchester United fans will boo him if he returns to Old Trafford in a Manchester City shirt.

Carlos Tevez said: “If I play for Manchester City, I don’t think the United fans will feel I am a traitor. It has come about because I could not stand my sporting situation at Manchester United any longer. My first year was good in all senses. Liverpool Sell Sebastian Leto To Panathinaikos

Liverpool have agreed a fee with the Greek club Panathinaikos to sell Sebastian Leto.

Midfielder Sebastian Leto spent last season on loan with Olympiakos Pireu.

Sebastian Leto began his career in 2005 in his native Argentina, with Lanus, based in Buenos Aires.

Sebastian Leto made over 50 appearances there, scoring eight goals before leaving for Liverpool.
