Gareth Bale was chosen the best football player of the year in the Premier League, after being overcome in this top  Robin Van Persie and Luis Suarez. The Welsh is at the second such award, after the one received two years ago.

Although Tottenham went and rescued a draw in the match against FC Basel in the first leg of the Europa League quarter final, Andre Villas Boas and the Londoners have some reasons to be worried.

In overtime, the 23-year-old Welshman star Gareth Bale was seriously injured in a phase that not announced too many problems.
