What a crazy game took place on Old Traford?

Manchester United scored five goals in the second half 5-2 win over Tottenham at Old Trafford on Saturday.

First-half goals from Darren Bent and Luka Modric put Tottenham up 2-0 at halftime.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored first from the penalty spot after a controversial decision by referee, while Wayne Rooney made it 2-2 then Cristiano Ronaldo scored his second goal of the match and made it 3-2 for Manchester United.

Then Wayne Rooney found the net for the second time in the 71st minute to stretch the lead to 4-2, while Dimitar Berbatov capped the scoring with 11 minutes to play.

The result keeps Manchester United three points clear of second-placed Liverpool with a game in hand.

Liverpool are preparing a bid for Carlos Tevez, whose loan deal at Manchester United is set to expire at the end of the season.

Carlos Tevez, has stated that he has several options to go at: Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City and Inter Milan.

If Carlos Tevez move to Liverpool would come amid growing acrimony between the Benitez and Ferguson, who have exchanged barbs throughout the season.

Manchester United could pay $32.5 million to keep Carlos Tevez, who joined the Red Devils from West Ham in August 2007.

Robin van Persie won’t recover in time for the April 29 match at Manchester United, the team said on its Web site.

Also Robin van Persie already missed Tuesday’s 4-4 Premier League draw at Liverpool.

Guus Hiddink will leave Chelsea at the end of the season, club Chairman Bruce Buck said.

Hiddink was appointed coach in February following the dismissal of Luiz Felipe Scolari and has suffered just one defeat in 11 games.

Chairman Bruce Buck said: “It is purely a temporary role,”, “There has been a lot of speculation about him staying, particularly as he has been doing a great job. That will not be the case.”

Chelsea is third in the Premier League, faces Arsenal in the F.A. Cup semifinals at the weekend and hosts Liverpool in a Champions League quarterfinal tonight after winning the first leg 3-1 at Liverpool.

Chelsea continues to examine ways of lifting capacity at Stamford Bridge to 50,000-55,000 from 42,500 and a move won’t be considered until all possibilities are exhausted.

Also Chairman Bruce Buck said: “We’ll run out of ideas on the stadium before we think about moving and anyway, in the light of the credit crunch, building a new stadium is not really something anyone is considering these days,”

Alan Shearer will be the new Newcastle manager until the end of the season.

Former Newcastle midfielder Paul Gascoigne believes Shearer’s standing in football will have a positive effect on the players from Newcastle.

Paul Gascoigne said: “Alan’s blood is black and white and he’ll be telling the players that,”, “He’s got eight games to keep them up and I don’t think it’ll be too difficult a task. “All they’ve got to know is that they’re playing for Alan Shearer, Newcastle United and the fans.”

Alan Shearer play for Newcastle from 1996 and he scored 206 goals in 404 appearances during a 10-year playing, the he retired from playing in 2006.

Now Newcastle is place 18 in Premier League standings.
